Daily Theatre (a draft and a rehearsal)

Daily Theatre (a draft and a rehearsal) was a live presentation of a chapter intended to eventually become part of a book. The material consists of location-specific lists—street, park, swimming pool, office, public transport, theatre, etc—that collect observations of moments when people are performing in public space. The lists are punctuated by paragraph-long character descriptions that shed more light on specific entries.

The walls were covered with scrolls of these lists, which were read aloud. Every now and then, Dun and Manon stepped onto the stage to re-enact some of the list items or read one of the character descriptions.

I’d love to develop something more fully stage-based out of this at some point!
